Vetta will be offering avalanche courses winter 2017-'18 on Vail and Berthoud Passes!

We're pleased to announce Vetta Mountain Guides has been awarded access to Vail and Berthoud Passes for winter '17-'18 for avalanche education. Whether it's a level 1 or 2 course, companion rescue, or a skills/review day in the backcountry, Vetta will give you a fun, informative, and relevant introduction to avalanche safety in one of the sketchiest snowpacks in the world--the Colorado Rockies!

Be in touch to begin planning a custom education day, review, or join one of our existing avalanche courses to continue your lifelong learning in the backcountry.

As of late October, Vetta will be offering ongoing companion rescue courses, the Level 1 "Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain"  January 9, 11, 13-14 (the 9th and 11th are evening, classroom sessions), and February 2, 3, 4. Vetta works exclusively with the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) and deliver that organization's curricula exclusively. AIARE was founded by mountain guides and remains the most up-to-date and current avalanche program for recreationists. We love working with AIARE and we're proud to have been part of helping AIARE develop its new Recreational curricula in 2017.
