Relaxed, smiling, and always a pro — that’s Pavel!

Pavel is an IFMGA certified guide based in Chamonix and travels worldwide in pursuit of mountain adventures with his clients. He begins the year skiing the legendary"Japow" on the the island of Hokkaido, Japan. In February, he returns to Chamonix and the European Alps to guide the classic hut to hut routes, a variety of ski mountaineering objectives as well as lift-accessed freeriding and heliski. From May until September the focus shifts towards rock and alpine climbing. He guides on the most popular mountains in Europe, including Mt Blanc, Matterhorn and Elbrus. In September and October you will find him leading expeditions in India or Nepal. In between all of this, he finds time to use his expertise in the mountains to work on movies and other commercial projects.

Pawel is also an accomplished ultrarunner having completed the 166km Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, 120km TDS from Courmayer to Chamonix, 100km Ultra Trail Sierra de Monsant and many other challenging runs.

It is hard to choose favorites, but skiing from the top of Denali in Alaska, and the 7,546 meter summit of Mustagh Ata in China stand out as a couple of his most memorable ski experiences in the mountains. His favourite climbs he made in Peru, Yosemite and Chamonix.

Pavel owns The Guides Company and is a big fan of wild, less accessible and less popular places for skiing and mountaineering  such as the mountains in Georgia or Kyrgyzstan. Every year he searches  for alternatives to crowded Alpine slopes, in  Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, Romania or Pyrenees in  Spain.
